Lee Sun-gyun, Song Joong-ki wins The Intrernational Emmy Awards 2022, The King’s Affection awarded for best show

Lee Sun-gyun and Song Joong-ki took part in the International Emmy Awards 2022 which was held in New York. Song handed over the most prestigious award for International Emmy Directorship to the Vice President of CJ Group Mike Lee, who is a English Film and theater director. While on the other side, the award for Best Actor 2022 for given to Lee Sun-gyun for his brilliant performance in the series “Dr. Brain” produced under Apple TV+

For this year’s Emmy Awards there were many South Korean actors who attended the event. Some of them includes Im-Siwan, Song Joong-ki, Lee Sun-gyun and Rain, these stars walked down the Red Carpet which marked the 50th Edition of the iconic International Emmy Awards took place in New York city.

The esteemed Academy “International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences” awarded the Emmy Awards to performers and television creators from all across the world which mainly includes South Korea, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Netherlands. The event was organized by Pen & Teller’s owner Pen Jillette.

In the International Emmy Directorship Award Ceremony, which was awarded to the Vice President of CJ Group Miky Lee and on the other hand Lee Sun-gyun who was nominated under the category for Best Actor in a Leading Role for the Series Dr. Brain by Apple TV+. The series was produced by team of “The King’s Affection” and the whole crew attended the event and they were awarded for Best Telenovela for Dr. Brain.

Song Joong-ki is a promising actor from South Korea, we have already sen his excellent work in Arthdal Chronicles, Descendants of the Sun and the most exciting one was The Mafia Dram in Vincenzo released back in 2021 which dragged him to the limelight and he was recognized as an International star. He will also be starring in the upcoming thriller drama series named “Reborn Rich” which will be streaming on Netflix & Viki in December, 2022 .

And speaking of Emmy Awards 2022 for other categories, like for Best Comedy was awarded to Sex Education, apart from that there were some other award winning series and movies that includes Love on the Spectrum Season 2 under category for Best Unscripted Entertainment and Vigil for Best Drama Series. While the Award for Best Actress category was given to Lou de Laage and Best Actor to Dougray Scott.
