This is such a disheartening news as singer R&B Jesse Powell has allegedly died at 51 on 13th September 2022. The death was announced from his social media accounts by his sister Tamara Powell. In a instagram post today she wrote that we are saying this with aching heart that our dearest son,uncle and brother,Jesse Powell have passed.
The post further continued with Tamara adding “He passed with peace at home in Los Angeles. We as a family request you all to please respect our privacy as we devastated by this news. We are mourning for our loss and we couldn’t stand that we had just lost a precious member of our family. Jesse has always loved his art of music and above that he adored his fans who have always supported him in his musical journey. We want you to know that you all fans meant everything to him and without you all he wouldn’t be able to succeed in his career. From Powell family”.
One of the best Jesse Powell work was a song “You” from 1996 which was a all time hit ranked at #2 on Billboard R&B and #10 on all time Billboard top 100.
As of now, the main cause of Powell’s death have not been revealed yet. We must pray for the wellness of his family and friends.
Powell made his first impact in his musical journey when he collaborated with MCA’s Silas in the 1990s. And then going on to release his first self titled album. This album also presented the first hit song of his career “All I Need”.
And going further he gained confidence and then released his 2nd album in 1998 named ‘Bout It’ which became one of the most successful album of that time and got sold out. This was the album which helped Jesse Powell gain immense fame and honor and the album went gold. Along with the popular song “You”, he even sang a hit single “I wasn’t with It”. Moving with this success jesse released couple more albums before just vanishing from all the publicity.
Despite the facts there is not much details of the singer whereabouts before his sudden death, but we can’t deny the fact that he has been a great singer and popular among his fans. His influence has made R&B reach to greater heights across the Globe and his death is a great loss for the music fraternity.
