As we gear up for the nominations of 65th Annual Grammy Awards 2023. In Los Angeles last week, The Recording Academy are ready with nominations list for the next edition of the Awards next Tuesday. There will be some new entries in the nominations which will be a surprise for most of us.
There are five new entries under different categories for the upcoming edition of Grammy Awards which will include Special Award under Song for Social awareness and Best Composer of the year.
Speaking of other categories, there will be Non-Classical song composers, under this category there will be an individual who will be awarded as the “most creative” background and underrated composer for multiple of recent tracks.This Category is somewhat different from the old category which recognizes a composer from the Best song of last year, which mainly gives awards to the best lyricist and composer for a single track.
Current year’s nominations announcement will be streamed live on the official site of Grammy Awards which will begin sharp from 12:00 PM EST and 9:00 AM PT. Some of the renowned names who are nominated for this year includes Smokey Robinson, Olivia Rodrigo, Gun Kelly, John Legend and Machine Gun Kelly.
If we are speaking of the probable nominations for next year, That majorly includes Harry Styles, Beyonce, Adele and Kendrick Lamar. There are some other competitors as well which includes Steve Lacy and Lizo, they both have the two biggest chart-busters of this year under their name.
The upcoming Grammy Awards is scheduled to take place on 5th February in Los Angeles, 2023.

The Grammy Awards have taken a good initiative for introducing the new category especially for the composers. Last year in 2021, the management introduced some new rules and policies for this category which enables every producer, lead artist, songwriter, engineer who worked on an album to get nominated for the category Album of the Year and get awarded.
There are four newly introduced categories for next year’s Grammy which includes Alternative Music Performance, Best Spoken Word for Poetry Album, Best Video Game Soundtrack, Americana Music Presentation and other special nominations.
